Who we are

Grown, milled and refined at the source.

Brazil leads the world in sugar — it has sequenced the sugarcane genome, bred over one hundred strains of the crop, and invented VHP raw sugar. Its mills are so efficient they sell surplus energy back to the national grid. We are part of that story.

From our headquarters on Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima in São Paulo — with an office in Mexico City serving buyers across the Americas — BIOSEV S.A supplies distributors, refiners and food & beverage industries with cane sugar sourced and milled across Brazil's prime growing regions. Twenty-six years of performance, knowledge and experience — and a promise we keep, from our mills to your warehouse.

  • Strict quality control

  • 24/7 support

A dedicated export desk answers technical and commercial questions around the clock — by email or WhatsApp, in every timezone we ship to.

The language of sugar

One scale grades it all: ICUMSA.

The International Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis rates sugar by color — and color is purity. The lower the number, the whiter and more refined the sugar. Every product we export is graded on this scale. Hover the markers to see where each of ours sits.

Buyer questions

What importers ask us first.

What is the minimum order quantity?+
Trial shipments start at a single 20 ft container — 27 MT packed as 540 × 50 kg bags. For break-bulk and bulk vessel business, standard lots are 12,500, 25,000 and 50,000 MT, and we welcome 12-month contracts with monthly deliveries.
Which Incoterms do you work with?+
FOB from Santos or Paranaguá, or CIF / C&F to any safe world port. Pricing depends on quantity, destination and contract length — send your target discharge port with your enquiry and we quote accordingly.
How is quality guaranteed before shipment?+
Every cargo is inspected by SGS (or CIQ / another inspector of international renown, by arrangement) at the loading port, at our cost. The inspection covers grade, weight and packing, and the report travels with the documentation package. Buyers with special inspection requirements should state them before contract.
What documents will I receive?+
Certificate of Analysis, Certificate of Origin, SGS inspection report, phytosanitary and health certificates, bill of lading and packing list — everything your customs broker and end-buyer need to clear and on-sell the cargo.
How does the purchase procedure work?+
Buyer issues an ICPO with BCL (bank-endorsed). We approve and return a draft contract; both parties sign; buyer opens a non-operative SBLC or MT103 to our bank; we issue POP to activate the instrument; shipments begin per contract — typically within 15–30 days.
Do you also supply ethanol?+
Yes — sugarcane bioethanol produced by fermentation, distillation and dehydration, suitable for fuel blending and industrial use. Volumes and specifications on request through the same enquiry channel.
